AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to be based in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
Position is scheduled to begin in June
Job Summary/Responsibilities
As a Structural Engineer with AECOM, you will build your analytic and design skills. Conduct engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Develop bridge superstructure and substructure component designs, structural quantities and cost estimates, and component details utilizing OpenBridge Designer, Microstation, AutoCAD and a variety of design software applications and MS Office applications. Collect and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Reviews field information and performs field inspection of existing facilities under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Use computer software as a tool for structural analysis and solving basic engineering problems. Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
- Perform assignments related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures.
- Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
- Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
- Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
- Bachelors degree in Structural or Civil engineering or other related field required.
- Experience using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software.
- Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models).
- Team oriented with strong communication skills.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred.
