We are seeking a Structural Analyst to support design and lead analysis for the creation of these aerospace technologies. As the Lead Structural Analyst, you will provide technical leadership as well as manage the structural analysis group, while influencing processes and owning product development strategies. You will be accountable for execution of all structural dynamic and static analyses of spacecraft flight hardware as well as Mechanical Ground Support Equipment. In this role, you will be expected to coordinate activities across functional groups, influencing and improving new and existing designs. Strong communication skills will be required in this role as you will be expected to present results to our customers at various technical reviews.

We are seeking a Structural Analyst to support design and lead analysis for the creation of these aerospace technologies. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for all static and dynamic structural analyses for spacecraft flight hardware and mechanical ground support equipment.
- Perform loads development (primary structure and component level), shock and vibration environments determination and component and system level testing and data evaluation.
- Coordinate with the mechanical design engineers on new designs, design trades, and existing designs including suggestions on how to improve the designs.
- Coordinate with a cross functional team of engineers while working multiple space projects in a fast-paced, results driven environment.
- Prepare test plans; static, separation dynamics, vibration, modal and shock test execution, and post-test reports.
- Present final analysis results to our engineering teams, peers, and our customers.
- Define processes and drive development of best practice for structural analysis and test of spacecraft.
- Interview, train, and mentor junior structural analyst engineers as the department grows. Delegate work as required within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience as a structural analyst. 2+ years of people management experience.
- Advanced understanding of structures and structural dynamics through education and work experience.
- Expertise with spacecraft or aircraft structural static and dynamic methods.
- Proficiency in application of finite element analysis principles anchored with hand calculation methods.
- Excellent FEMAP and NASTRAN skills.
- Demonstrates self-initiated work in a team environment with strong leadership skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance.
