AECOM Buildings + Places is actively seeking a highly talented Structural Engineer for employment in the Atlanta, GA office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performs structural design of buildings and transportation structures and prepares related engineering calculations and structural modeling. Building types may include but are not limited to commercial buildings, government buildings, underground structures, transit rail stations and airport terminals.
- Builds 3D finite element analytical structural models.
- Conducts structural design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Prepares design criteria for projects following the applicable building codes and standards.
- Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, final working construction drawings, and project specifications under the supervision of an experienced structural engineer.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving structural engineering problems.
- Reviews contractor shop drawings.
- Conducts site visits to project and construction sites as needed.
- Coordinates with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
- Structural BIM modeling using Revit or similar software.
- Interpreting and applying building codes and standards including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318.
- Travel to project site and meetings as needed.
- BA/BS in Civil or Structuring Engineering and two (2) Years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience in structural design of building structures
- Experience with Revit
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Masters in Structural Engineering
- Experience with structural analysis software such as RAM Elements ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000
- Three (3) years of experience in structural design of building structures
- Federal and/or Transportation projects experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate
