JOB SUMMARY
Perform basic level tasks as required to develop good understanding of company methods, standards, and available resources within a certain field.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in a B.Sc Engineering program at an accredited University
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Check and review drawings/documents
- Perform basic analysis of structures and machinery for given load scenarios
- Ability to understand mechanical systems and welded assemblies as it pertains to drilling equipment and components
- Ability to solve problems with limited information in a timely manner
- Perform calculations and FEA/computer analysis as required
- Review and apply standards including, but not limited to, API, AISC, DNV
- Ability to communicate effectively technical principle and equipment operation to other departments (operations, sales, customers)
- Perform other work related tasks as assigned
- Ability to work in a team setting, receive direction and feedback from colleagues, work independently but seek guidance when required.
- Comply with all NOV company and HSE procedures and policies
