Overview
Kroll Bond Rating Agency seeks entry level analysts for our Structured Finance Rotational Program to join in the summer of 2023. Successful candidates will rotate within our Asset Backed Securities (ABS track), Mortgaged Backed Securities (MBS track), or Structured Credit (CLO/General track) units.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn Structured Finance and develop as a Credit Analyst in the market’s fastest growing credit rating agency. Structured Finance is how companies borrow money using assets, or pools of assets, to secure or guarantee the loans. Successful candidates will make immediate contributions to our rating efforts and participate in the publication of our best-in-class transaction reports. To facilitate success and enrich professional development, hires will be assigned to two mentors: a KBRA Peer Mentor as well as an Executive Mentor. Analysts will work both independently and collaboratively with other analysts.
About the Job
- Perform transaction analysis including originator/servicer evaluation, loan and pool analysis, credit modeling and analysis of bond structure, and review of legal structure and documentation for assignment and/or monitoring of credit ratings
- Help to prepare credit memoranda and present transactions to rating committee
- Assist in the development and publication of individual transactions reports, and special topic and market commentaries.
- Work with the surveillance team in monitoring and updating ratings on existing transactions
- Work on projects, ad hoc assignments, and research support as needed
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- Undergraduate degree with relevant coursework (business, accounting, finance, or economics)
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Strong Excel skills. Familiarity with database tools is a plus
- Ability to multi-task, take initiative and work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to work well under pressure and strive for the best results
