As a Structures Engineer, you will own the design, innovation, and execution of new components across Delta Faucet Products. Delta's Structures sub-system engineers work with Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers to support future state road mapping, new product development, quality improvements and cost reductions. You will need to make decisions in uncertain environments and synthesize solution options for management.

Responsibilities:

  • Use available data, advancement in materials and manufacturing processes to identify business opportunities
  • Perform computer simulation analysis of structural mechanisms to streamline the design process and eliminate resource waste
  • Lead development and implementation of product changes while maintaining internal and consumer performance expectations
  • Maintain close alignment with manufacturing groups to optimize efficiency while minimizing complexity in manufacturing processes
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to identify and forecast attribute and stakeholder needs while developing subsystem strategies to deliver those needs.
  • Own subsystem system level knowledge documents, including technical requirements, A3's, CSMs, design guides, roadmaps, and FMEAs

Education & Experience:
  • The ideal candidate will possess a BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An aptitude for creating and communicating data based trade-off studies as guidance to decision making.
  • Detailed understanding of engineering design, detailed component specification development and manufacturing fundamentals.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability, DFMEA, PPAP and verification and validation testing are required.
  • Must possess the ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments with autonomy.
  • Possess experience in the design of injection molded components, stampings, forgings, and castings.

Diversity & Inclusion:

At Delta Faucet Company, we view diversity as a mosaic of thoughts and perspectives that come from people's varied cultural backgrounds, experiences, education, career paths and other influences that make each of us unique. For us, inclusion means welcoming differing opinions, collaborating, allowing people to come to work as who they are and recognizing everyone's contributions.
