Your Responsibilities
As a Structures Engineer for John Deere C onstruction and Forestry's battery electric vehicle team located in Dubuque Iowa you will...

• Design structures and sheet metal solutions for battery electric vehicle platforms
• Collaborate with cross functional team members to ensure solutions meet manufacturability, performance, cost and life goals
• Lead BOM creation, print and workflow thru out the product delivery process.
• Benchmark internal and external structural solutions for battery electric vehicle platforms

What Skills You Need

• Structural engineering experience (design, test, analysis)
• Experiencing developing and applying geometrical dimension and tolerancing principles and tolerance stack ups
• 3D Modeling experience
• Effective interpersonal communication and project management skills

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with battery electric vehicle design
• Construction equipment structures & sheetmetal engineering experience
• Experience preforming stress testing and fatigue analysis
• Experience developing load cases and performing and/or interpreting FEA analyses
• In depth knowledge of stampings, welding, casting, composites, and/or machining processes
• Experience leading design/test work performed by remotely located team members
• Working knowledge of PDMLink and Creo
• Experience in systems engineering

Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Weld, Agricultural, or equivalent
