PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Director of Operations reports to the President and is responsible for the company's day-to-day operating activities including revenue and sales growth, expense, cost and margin control, and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goal management. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations to meet current and future needs of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Operations• Reporting to President in Huntsville, AL, lead all StraitSys' offices.• Provide comprehensive customer relationship management to StraitSys customers and partners.• Work closely with StraitSys Back Office to ensure human resources, financials, and other key operations supporting StraitSys are executed.

Practice Development• Develop and grow portfolio spanning Big Data Analytics, IT Services, Cybersecurity, Counter-Insider Threat, Program Management, and Managed Services areas for the firm.• Develop and successfully take to market emerging technology services (1-2 "big bets" in first year).• Manage and Build out all teams, IP and tool set to deliver offerings.• Develop and implement go-to-market plans for key, complementary industry sectors (Federal and/or Commercial).

Sales• Lead small teams to identify opportunities and prepare proposals and program plans, facilitate StraitSys differentiators (like specific consulting frameworks, intellectual property etc.), articulate value proposition, review and fine tune the financials, and lead proposal presentations in order to create a compelling proposition for the client to engage StraitSys.• Build and maintain professional relationship with senior and C-level client executives and expand professional network in client organizations.• Expand sales a minimum of 20% per year.• Meet operational requirements for pipeline and sales tracking and reporting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:• Advanced computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred• Ability to enter data accurately into databases.• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence• Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc. Must always represent the company in a professional manner.• Must be trustworthy - will handle confidential information routinely• Must possess effective communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.• Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.• Ability to follow a process.• Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.• Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.• Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.• Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently• Ability to multi-task

QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree• 18 years of leadership experience, with strong sales/relationship management/account management experience.• Must have at least 12 years of consulting experience in Federal space. Experience spans current IT developments in Big Data Analytics, IT Services, Cybersecurity, Counter-Insider Threat, Program Management, and Managed Services areas.• Active Top Secret clearance.• Big 4 or equivalent experience desirable.• Wide variety of IT and business consulting engagement experience; experience managing multi-location consulting engagement teams desirable.
