PRIMARY FUNCTION

StraitSys is looking for a looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Software Tester to join our team! You will lead all aspects of software testing efforts on a critical software system by providing technical expertise in the planning, testing, and application of methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation, design, and delivery of software testing best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Leads the identification, prioritization, and execution of testing strategy and execution tasks across the software development lifecycle.• Assists the IT Project Manager and Lead Software Developer in the translation of business processes, customer requirements, block diagrams, and logical flow charts into software testing requirements. • Responsible for successful testing of custom applications and tools in the cloud or on-premises platforms as well as the enhancement of existing applications and tools. • Support/mentor junior developers throughout the development process.• Analyze users stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility• Collaborate closely with other team members and departments.• Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)• Design and develop automation scripts when needed.• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies.• Provide timely solutions.• Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle.• Provide support and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:• Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI if required.• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline. • Education substitution requires 10+ years' proven experience providing software development and/or testing to complex systems using current software development tools and languages.• 3+ years proven experience leading software testing delivering software application/tools meeting requirements, budget, and schedule.• Must be a US Citizen• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
