The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Student Affairs Specialist assisting in the management of the PRA administrative and student affairs program with areas of responsibility including student affairs, planning support and coordination, and deconfliction of PRA training activities and facility usage.

Qualifications

This is a GG-11 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-11 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-11 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialzed experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related

Knowledge of the principles and concepts for maintaining the administration of the PRA student affairs and scheduling program. Requires practical knowledge of methods, procedures, and skills to apply this knowledge in various assignments operations and/or procedures. Must apply knowledge of student affairs program management duties to include student affairs/administration, planning support and coordination, deconfliction of PRA training activities and facility usage, and other related administrative duties. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of Personnel Recovery (PR) and specialized SERE related training requirements and requirements validation process.

2. Knowledge of organization, and roles, and functions of the JCS, Geographic Combatant Commands, USSOCOM, and the interagency community.

3. Knowledge of standardized regulations, office procedures, and directives to perform administrative duties; English grammar to review staffing packages, correspondence, and reports; and the Automated Message Handling System.

4. Skill in analyzing and deconflicting training and resource requirements to develop requirements and schedules in a timely, integrated manner to meet customer needs and emerging operational requirements; and ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

5. Ability to analyze, compile, and report collected statistical data.

6. Ability to communicate orally to explain administrative requirements and to disseminate local procedures and instructions; and ability to communicate in writing to prepare general correspondence, technical documents, and comprehensive reports.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT'D:

1. Position is designated Special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

2. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
