RAPP is an integral part of Omnicom’s Precision Marketing Group, comprising 4,000 creatives, technologists, strategists, and data marketing scientists across 40 global markets.
YOUR ROLE:
We’re looking for a Studio Artist who is creative and detail-oriented to help us establish and maintain our brand in our Chicago Studio. The Studio Artist’s responsibilities include reviewing final copy, layouts, and content, ensuring brand standards, and putting the finishing touches on creative projects. This role will be support for the Army account in the Chicago office. This person will support all creative needs for Army related projects that include, scalable, modular, and digital resources for local Army marketing efforts. This role and department are a core strategic driver of Army’s success. We have a world-class team working together to help drive our ambitions and scale to the next level. We are looking for a candidate with deep knowledge and expertise building multimedia experiences and digital content with experience building performance driven marketing strategies grounded on the needs of our clients. The creative team will work on building assets already vetted by our teams to help promote easy access and scalable design systems for all of RAPP to utilize. Candidates should be creative with proactive skills to own the end-to-end needs of a project request. We are also looking for this candidate to help support best-practices for file management, project archiving and digital & print production. From time to time there will be multimedia needs, so video production experience is a plus.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bringing your full self to all you do every single day.
- Working with product managers to refine design specifications and collaborating with art directors, designers, and developers.
- Reviewing graphics, layouts, and fonts before designs are completed.
- Using editing software to finalize designs.
- Suggesting and making improvements to images and image quality in print and digital formats.
- Preparing press-ready files based on the supplied specifications.
- Following development timelines to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Troubleshooting any problems with the design team and the printer.
- Cataloging produced images and graphics for future projects.
- Ensuring teammates are always using the most up-to-date assets.
- Following up with team to ensure their expectations have been met.
- Keeping up to date with graphic design trends, techniques, and software.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- A bachelor’s degree in visual arts, design, or a related field
- Proven work experience as a production artist, graphic designer, or similar
- A portfolio of completed graphics and designs
- In-depth knowledge of printing processes and software applications, including FlightCheck, Adobe Creative Suite, QuarkXPress, and MS Office (specifically Excel)
- Competent in modern design, learning authoring and prototyping tools such as, Miro, Figma, InVision, Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, After Effects)
- Experience with digital content, such as social media, online advertising, and email campaigns
- Basic knowledge of video editing with Premier and After Effects
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
- Strong organizational, analytical, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Digital design experience working in cross-discipline teams for a variety of mediums focusing on building creative assets at scale and/or leading teams of creatives (content designers, multimedia creators, instructional designers)
- Proven experience managing project timelines to meet aggressive deadlines and effectively prioritize a consistent flow of deliverables
- Experience operating in a fast-paced and highly creative environment and manage productions with multiple workstreams
- Experience turning complex information into engaging content across various channels and creating brilliant presentation decks or communications
- An attitude that is willing to take anything on at any moment, and willing to ask questions along the way
BONUS SKILLS:
- Worked in CRM
- Familiar with Figma, Box
- Interest in military/history a plus
NOTE:
- This role will be accessing Army systems and will need to adhere to a standard background check.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
