Studio + Stage Coordinator

the house, with the shift ending in the Grip room.
This role will be the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring they receive the full Smashbox
Studios experience from the moment they step into the studio. Once all clients have left the studio,
the position will work alongside the Evening Stage Manager to load and unload any and all gear
from the stages in preparation for the following day's clients. The ideal candidate is an efficient
worker, well-presented, and easily able to interact with clients, including high-profile celebrities, while
maintaining the utmost discretion. This role also requires high attention to detail, and the ability to
think quickly and solve problems as they arise. A true understanding of high-touch customer service,
teamwork, and work ethic are crucial to success in this role.
Responsibilities (Front of House):• Maintain the highest standards of courtesy and efficiency with all internal and external customers• Greet all guests, setting the expectation for the ultimate Smashbox Studios experience• Direct clients and individuals to the appropriate department/contact• Assist clients with getting into their studios / helping carry packages etc.• Maintain presentation of studio spaces and common areas including restrooms• Answer the main phone line and transfer calls as needed• Maintain inventory and order supplies• Accurately log and track deliveries• Schedule messengers and domestic/international shipments• Assist on other administrative projects/assignments as needed• Make cafe drinks and serve clients• Track any potential billable items to charge to clients
Responsibilities (Grip & EQ)• Interact with clients while providing the highest level of service• Facilitate equipment needs in assigned studios throughout the duration of the shoot• Unpack and repack the studio for the following day's shoots• Accurately and efficiently pull lighting and grip orders and staging in studio in an organized manner• Check and test all grip and lighting equipment to ensure proper functioning prior to client use, as well as communicate any issues to the manager immediately• Work with clients throughout the day during check-out and check-in process of grip and lighting equipment at the studio or on location• Update orders in our billing system• Create stock checks and short lists to establish and maintain accurate inventory counts• Communicate customer requests, order changes, and/ or paperwork specifications to management• Properly assess and complete minor repairs to equipment• Maintain a clean work area at all times• Ensure that all sub-rented gear is picked up from and returned to the correct vendors• Quickly execute all other duties as assigned by management• Drive as needed to pick-up/drop off for clients or sub vendors• Help maintain facilities as well as helping on any general ad hoc projects that arise at the studio throughout the various departments.
Requirements• 1-3 years of front desk experience in a studio environment or hospitality• Understanding of high-end customer service requirements• Ability to work with discretion and to protect client privacy• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Flexible scheduling is a requirement - there could be late nights and weekend responsibilities• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks under pressure• Clean driving record• Strong interpersonal skills• Must be a team-player• Must be approachable and foster a friendly atmosphere• Proficient in Mac (Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop are a plus)• Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment
Benefits
The base salary for this position is $17-20/hour. These numbers represent the low and high end of our salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
