Job Description

Ridgeline is in search of a Subcontract Administrator to join our Contracts team. This pivotal role is designed for a dedicated individual who is skilled in the oversight of service procurement processes that align with our corporate guidelines. We are a company that values collaboration and innovative thinking, and we are on the lookout for a candidate who is eager to contribute to our team of professionals. This person will work directly under the guidance of the Contracts Director and should possess the ability to work independently, exhibit consistent diligence, and thrive within a cooperative team environment.

What you will do on the job:

Key responsibilities will include engaging with program managers and various service centers, such as Contracts, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Business Development. You will be responsible for securing subcontractor services, steering negotiations, and managing agreements to bolster Ridgeline's varied program initiatives.

Collaboration: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners, fostering interdepartmental communication, and aligning with program management to pinpoint and secure subcontractor services that meet defined parameters, including cost, expertise, and performance history.

Leadership: Directing procurement processes, providing insights on subcontract specifications and conflict resolution, and actively participating in the interpretation and application of subcontracting terms and conditions.

Negotiation: Managing and finalizing various contractual documents, contributing to proposal development and bargaining processes, and ensuring negotiations yield fair and compliant outcomes.

Administration: Upholding detailed subcontract records as per company policy, collaborating with the program management team to monitor subcontractor performance, managing financial allocations, conducting subcontractor evaluations, and ensuring currency in subcontracting practices and procedures.

Goals for the initial six months include:

  • Gaining an in-depth understanding of Ridgeline’s contract framework, service offerings, and client base.
  • Fostering and managing subcontractor partnerships and contractual agreements.
  • Evaluating and suggesting improvements to the current processes and policies at Ridgeline.

Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree complemented by 2-5 years of relevant experience in subcontract administration or an equivalent blend of experience in place of formal education.
  • Acquaintance with federal contracting norms and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Exceptional attention to detail paired with analytical prowess.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to attend monthly in-person meetings within the National Capital Region.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Knowledge of Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) procedures.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance 

Nice to haves:

  • Experience utilizing CostPoint software.
  • Professional certifications in the field.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
  • Constantly work with computers and other office productivity equipment
