Subject Matter Expert

Position: Subject Matter Expert

Location: Washington, DC (Onsite)

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.

Work Experience:

• 5+ years in relevant fields related to statistical analysis, health insurance claims, and data management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Subject Matter Expertise in Survey Statistics and Sampling Methodology.
• Subject Matter Expertise in Health Insurance Claims Billing Processes and Lifecycle.
• Experience in statistical analysis, preparing statistical reports, and generating documentation of underlying statistics.
• Experience analyzing data relevant to employee benefit plans, e.g., financial data related to investment transactions, health insurance claims data and pharmacy benefit manager claims data.
• Experience summarizing and analyzing Form 5500 and/or Form M-1 data collected by the Department.
• Experience and high proficiency with data analysis using the SAS programming language, e.g., can generate new SAS code to merge, query, shape, and clean large datasets.
• Experience and high proficiency with R Shiny, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), ReactJS, and .NET programming languages, e.g., can understand, edit, troubleshoot, and write new code in these languages.
