Job Description
Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH) is the largest not-for-profit health care system in the State of Texas and one of the largest in the United States. Role Description
The Director, Workplace Engineering is a full-time, on-site role located in Dallas, TX. The Director will lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and integrate software systems and provide technical leadership. The Director will oversee project management and ensure the successful delivery of software solutions while ensuring end-user satisfaction and experience. This role champions continuous improvement and innovation to advance Baylor Scott & White's Information Services and enhance patient care.
Qualification
Engineering Management and Team Leadership skill
Experience in developing and implementing software, customer experience, and contact center solution
Project Management skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent project
Integration expertise and experience with APIs, web services, and microservice
Strong communication and collaboration skills, including stakeholder management
Experience in healthcare technology, preferably in a hospital or health system environment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the development and execution of the company's end user experience strategy, aligning it with organizational goals and industry trend
- Assess and analyze various technology models in collaboration, contact center, virtual desktop, desktop imaging and engineering.
- Utilize data and research to evaluate technology performance, identify patterns, and recommend data-driven strategies to enhance end user processe
- In depth experience architecting and supporting Genesys Cloud, Cisco, Microsoft 365, and Citrix environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, finance, operations, legal, and digital, to implement innovative solutions that employees want and drive efficiencies for our organization
- Healthcare experience not required; Looking for candidates across industries to bring their expertise and ideas to healthcare
- Leads design and implementation of the future state end-to-end employee technology experience.
- Defines objectives and outcome metrics to define success and ensure value creation.
- Provides alignment of journey team to overall customer and employee experience vision.
- Leads and supports journey work across multiple operational services lines.
- Leads the development and implementation of measures, scorecards, and metrics.
- Drives resulting actions, insights, findings, education, and initiatives for the customer journey.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, customer experience, or relative field preferred
- Operates with beginner's mindset.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and disruption--resilient.
- Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
- Approaches work collaboratively.
- Proven track record of leading and developing team members.
- Experience influencing change outside of direct reports.
