JOB SUMMARY

The Manager Wellness provides management to Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH) for the wellness program(s). The Manager Wellness has overall responsibility for all wellness functions, including implementation, administration, design, and financial study of the wellness program(s) system wide. This role will require previous experience within the healthcare industry or within a non-profit industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

• Manages the wellness department, including all recruitment, employee relations and budgeting. Conduct goal setting and performance reviews along with one-on-one development plan. Will also monitor personnel certifications.
• Implement communication strategy and techniques to engage employees in programs. Manage health coaching program components and personnel. Run and direct activities of Wellness Councils.
• Continuously collect, review, and interpret data and feedback in order to make actionable recommendations to programs, including aggregate reports and presentations. Provide assessment of at-risk areas and provide referral to appropriate resources.
• Accountable to ensure participation in wellness programs, which include maximization of engagement with tools and resources, behavior change, reduction of health risks, improvement of overall well-being, and positive healthy lifestyle options amongst various participant populations.
• Run client wellness team to ensure goals and deliverables are met in accurate, timely and efficient manner. Accountable for client program administration, including program design, vendor selection, management, communication and financial testing.
• Manage client relationships, which includes excellent customer service to employee/client requests and compliance with contracts/billing for clients.
• Implement and facilitate health and wellness programs for a broad range of health risks and topics for client employees, such as on-site health screenings, educational seminars and team-based wellness challenges.
• Perform face-to-face at-risk health education based on participants' completed health risk appraisal using a combination of reflective listening and identification of readiness to change.
• Expand awareness in the community of BSWH wellness programs by serving in association leadership roles and engaging in speaking opportunities.
