Subrogation Claims Manager (REMOTE)
Job Description
The candidate will be leading a team of Claim Representatives responsible for pursuing auto and property subrogation recoveries between insurance carriers and at-fault parties. You will be responsible for providing leadership oversight of a claims team handling moderate to complex subrogation.  Oversees and plans the daily work of claims specialty team in the subrogation business unit. Candidate will be responsible for hiring, training and coaching claims staff. You will administer vendor and legal partnerships for the subrogation team. Responsible for managing offensive and defensive arbitration effectiveness and production. Manages the evaluation and payment of PD subrogation demands. Responsible for the implementation of established procedures and standards through quarterly audits of claim office operations. Establish a high customer focused culture which allows for retention and growth under company guidelines.
 Requirements
- Prior leadership experience, with preferred experience leading a claims subrogation team
- Confirm coverage and liability, review referral to pursue collections
- Obtain and maintain state adjuster license
- Follow state regulatory requirements for multiple state jurisdictions
- Ability to file and respond to arbitrations
- Independently establishes action plan, gathering and verifying evidence to pursue recovery.Â
- Recognizes and determines necessary correspondence based on regulatory compliance.
- Independently evaluates recovery alternatives by interpreting and applying relevant laws, regulations and case law; makes decisions on best option to seek recovery (may include arbitration and/or litigation).
- Advises on making appropriate contacts to confirm or negotiate liability, damages and recovery;
- Responsible for the analysis of metrics and results
- Maintains awareness of all applicable state and federal regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 – 5 years of claims management
- Subrogation specialization is preferred
- College degree in related field
- Strong leadership presence
- High integrity and leadership
- Proven track record with leading a diverse team in a virtual setting
