Role Summary
This position entails a hands-on learning experience in the Core Engineering department as a summer intern from May to August of 2023. Candidates will work with our Core Engineering team members to learn the various aspects of product testing and release on current and new programs. Experiences will include assisting in engineering measurements of our production product, review failure modes, assist with design solutions, and general tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in builds and trails of test equipment
Assist in testing, we do a lot of testing in cold/hot chambers that requires two people. Interns have proven capable of this the past two summers.
Assist in data collection and recording
Help with 5S management in our lab
Assist in tear down and cleaning of returned parts for inspection and pictures
Key Qualifications/Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Completion of at least 1-year of college, currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Additional Information
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS:
Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and presentations.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines.
Knowledge with Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred
Catia or NX experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normal amount of sitting, standing, and walking. Average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer. Trips to our plants in other states are sometimes required.
