The Designer Brands 2023 Summer Internship Program is an elite group of university students who will be part of a robust, 10-week program with the opportunity to work, learn and immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations of their function. The program will consist of hands-on experience, skill-building, cross-functional collaboration, and networking to support professional development.

Finance is the team behind the numbers. We are at the heart of the business and help to drive real-time decisions every day. The finance team does everything from analyzing the business and running reports to balancing the check book and ensuring our associates get paid.The team is responsible for consolidating financials across all our financial segments and reporting to management, the board and the street. This includes budgets, projections, quarterly earnings calls and any financial ad hoc analysis needed across DBI. We work closely with segment finance teams and business partners. In addition, the team supports Information Technology and our Supply Chain teams and assists with their budgets, projections, financial analysis, etc. The Corp FP&A Intern will get to learn the innerworkings of a corporate finance team, assist in the daily work and/or projects during their time here and will also get a chance to interact with several business partners during their 10 weeks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3.2 GPA
  
• Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics major
  
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing business needs
  
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• High degree of initiative, personal responsibility and ownership.
  
• Majority of this will be fully remote but must be able to travel to Columbus, OH once or twice during duration of internship
  
• Must be able to work 40 hours/week for the duration of the program (June-August)

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate (rising Juniors and Seniors) or graduate program
