Role Summary
This position entails a hands-on learning experience in the Validation Department as a summer intern from May to August of 2023. The summer intern will assist Validation Engineers in testing programs as well as be exposed to all aspects of the Validation Engineer position.
Key Responsibilities
Over the course of the summer, the student will perform or be exposed to any or all of the following portions of the Validation Engineering Process:• Assist Validation Engineers in execution of ED/DV/PV testing programs• Create and/or manage DVP&R's based on customer requirements• Create test sample reuse plans and estimated test schedules• Attend test fixture design reviews• Generate detailed Test Requests based on test plans• Tag test samples and facilitate shipment to test lab(s)• Schedule, plan, and prioritize testing based on program timing requirements• Travel with Validation Engineer(s)to offsite test lab(s) to view and approve various types of test setups
o Help troubleshoot any issues. • Attend weekly internal program Validation status meetings• Update of DVP&Rs, Glidepaths, and other program tracking tools• Support post test sample reviews / teardowns• Upload test reports to online storage location • Quote tests and/or test plans• Create validation purchase orders• Review and approve testing invoices

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Completion of at least 1-year of college, currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS:
Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and presentations.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines.
Knowledge with Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal amount of sitting, standing, and walking. Average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer. Travel to local test lab is sometimes required.
