Our Transit & Rail Revenue Management Team is seeking a Senior Summer 2023 Technology Intern to work out of our Pittsburgh, PA office.

This is a unique opportunity for a soon to be college graduate to gain real world experience, work with industry leaders and exercise practical application of their academic studies to gain real world experience in public transportation.

Your Impact
  • Support project teams on a variety of small, mid-size and large technology projects
  • Contribute to the preparation of technology studies, technical specifications, service and operating plans, and modeling
  • Apply analytic methodologies, and perform qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Prepare technical reports and support presentations to clients and project stakeholders
  • Assist in developing technology concept of operations for all transit and rail transportation modes
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering, Planning, Mathematics, Transportation, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or related, Masters or PhD program.
  • Demonstrated interest in Engineering, Planning, Mathematics, Transportation, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or related field and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP's work and projects.
  • Comfortable presenting ideas, projects and solutions to clients and executives in a polished, professional manner.
  • Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
  • Advanced proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.
  • Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
