Details About the AMN Summer Associate Program:
- May 28th, 2024 through July 26th, 2024 (9-weeks)

Details About This Specific Position:
- This role will be onsite in Dalas, TX - and will be in the office 2 days a week
- Full-Time work during normal business hours
The Summer Associate, Workplace Diversity intern be responsible for supporting the coordination and facilitation of events that promote engagement and belonging for team members, both in-person and online. The main objective of this role will be to develop programming that fosters an inclusive and welcoming corporate workplace. This will involve creating programs for DEI observance dates that take place during the summer, such as Disability Pride Month and LGBTQ+ Pride, as well as pre-planning DEI observance programs for the rest of the year, including Native American Heritage Month and Hispanic Heritage Month. Additionally, the role will support the development of DEI-related communications such as newsletters and learning challenges.
This position will provide valuable experience in corporate event coordination, particularly as it relates to team member engagement and belonging efforts. The intern will receive DEI training and education, as well as experience managing event budgets. Moreover, the intern will have the opportunity to write internal communication articles and submit proposals to present at local DEI conferences.
Minimum Experience:
- Postgraduate student
- Degree focus in marketing, communications, student affairs and higher education, psychology or gender studies preferred
- Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
Skills Needed:
- Experience in event coordination and project management
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Creativity in developing programming and events that promote engagement and belonging for team members
- Knowledge of DEI observance dates and cultural awareness, including Disability Pride Month, LGBTQ+ Pride, Native American Heritage Month, and Hispanic Heritage Month
- Ability to manage event budgets and resources
- Experience in writing internal communication articles and presenting proposals at conferences is a plus.

Pay Rate
$21.00 - $24.75 Hourly
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
