Position Specific Description
The BPO team manages alternative options for FPL and FPL NW customers to receive, pay and manage their electric bill. This includes the operational monitoring and exception handling of multiple complex systems as well as managing campaigns, tactics and projects related the billing and payment options offered.
This job will involve obtaining data through querying, file manipulation, etc. on various platforms to gain insight on different processes within the BPO organization. Will develop jobs to automate data gathering and reporting tasks. Analysis will be done to provide recommendations on process improvements, performance metrics, etc. This will require merging business concepts along with technical expertise.
Candidates must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered
Some of the responsibilities for this role are listed below:
- Provide entry- to intermediate-level professional services, under supervision of professional staff and/or faculty personnel, as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the Billing and Payments Operations Support team
- Apply knowledge of business practices and data to answer actual business issues
- Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization.
- Interact directly with internal or external customers in the planning of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.
- As appropriate, will conduct original research and prepare reports based on findings, to include recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
- Help launch new initiatives
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Overview
To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor's degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

- Assists department with assigned projects
- Completes challenging projects and assignments
- Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
- Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

- Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
- Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
