(Summer) Culinary Intern: May to August 2024

Position Summary:

The Culinary Innovation and Marketing team is looking for passionate individuals who thrive in a creative, dynamic work environment.  As a member of the Ninja Test Kitchen, you will play a key role in defining new product development, design, and story. The intern will provide a unique, food-first point of view for the development of new products and recipes across our ambitious product roadmap.

In this position, the intern will work in partnership with the Culinary Innovation team to help bring new innovative products to market. Specifically, this position will be responsible for:

• Partnering with the Culinary Innovation team members to help with the successful product launches of new and cutting edge-edge products like our popular Foodi pressure cooker, Creami Ice Cream maker, Air fryers, grills, food processors and blenders.
• Conduct research and development exploration as week as testing on competitive products to inform product strategy/roadmap
• Learn to develop and execute exploratory test strategies to push the limit or what’s possible with new product ideas to inform the product story and determine hero recipes
• Provide input on KPIs for ideal performance across new product functions, and validate prototypes to ensure KPIs are being met
• Meticulously records testing results and communicates results clearly with key stakeholders in a timely fashion
• Test and develop new recipes that will be showcased in our cookbooks and online recipe hub
• Assist in the execution of chef summits and expert advisory panels to provide feedback on products and story development
• Assists and attend internal and external events, as needed
• Monitor and research industry trends and innovations on an ongoing basis and brings new ideas to the team

Education and Experience

• Senior status in Culinary Science or Product Development programs, while maintaining a 3.25 (out of 4.0) GPA or better.
• Great communication skills
• Self-starter, energetic, keen to learn
• Flexible in approach
• Related culinary experience preferred
