We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the summer of 2023. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.

As a Summer Design Intern you will gain experience that may include, but is not limited to activities and tasks listed below:

• Provide design engineering support for New Water and Air-Cooled Product Development programs
• Writing practicable SWI (Standard Work Instructions) for Design Team
• POC/ECS proof of concepts builds/engineering check samples/prototyping hands-on assembly of commercial chiller
• Provide design support for customization projects
• Work with engineering and operations personnel to improve Change Management Workflows
• Organizing copper/pipe fittings and fasteners in a spreadsheet - indexing so Engineering/Design team easily search for off-the-shelf components
• Writing practicable SWI (Standard Work Instructions) and detailed documentation of the work performed for the Design Team
• POC/ECS - proof of concepts builds/engineering check samples/prototyping hands-on assembly of commercial chiller
• General/basic design support needs for Air-Cooled and Water-Cooled teams utilizing CREO 3D modeling/detailing
• Mechanical/Electrical and HVAC engineering design and testing support for a new air-cooled/water-cooled product development project
• Will assist in the preparation of design engineering deliverables.
• Students will utilize computers for calculations, spreadsheets, timesheets, reports, etc.
• Report out on the experience and present a summer-long project to the local Engineering leadership team in a 30-45 minute power point presentation at end of the internship

Education

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study
• GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA
• Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
