We are seeking an Asset Management Intern to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in Washington D.C. In this role, you will play a key role in inspiring change and continual improvement. Interns will be exposed to the following skills: Net effective rent analysis, portfolio performance tracking and reporting, financial modeling using Argus and Excel, asset valuations, development pro-formas, tenant and asset tours, and research skills.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Financial modeling and analysis for lease transactions, acquisitions, and dispositions, and/or development pro-formas
• Industry research
• Written materials and analysis for memos and presentations
• Track portfolio performance and analyze the impact of new leases or transactions
• Research credit profiles, investment strategies and business models of existing and potential tenants
• Tenants' presentations and property tours
• Compile and coordinate leasing activity and building status reporting activities
• Leasing and tenant reports for Board and Investor presentations
• Assist in the analysis and comparison of property operating expenses.
• Tour assets alongside senior colleagues

Your Qualifications:

• Summer Analyst Intern: Rising senior working towards a bachelor's degree in related major
• Summer Associate Intern: Students working towards an MBA between their first and second year
• Business, Finance or Real Estate preferred
• Demonstrated interest in real estate
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own
• professional development
• Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Candidate should be enthusiastic and motivated to succeed in a team environment
