About the Intern Program:

As an intern, you will help lead projects that help shape the future of OCC. This person will apply their skill set and knowledge toward tackling designated projects. This is an exciting opportunity to have a true impact on the company by designing and implementing solutions for real challenges facing the business. Here's what we're looking for:
Projects and Responsibilities:
Data migration project:

• Understand the requirements for data extract
• Use the existing Python modules developed for other data extracts and update them for the specific data extract requirements
• Extract data into CSV files from Encore DB2 tables
• Understand the requirements for data load into Ovation applications (Ex.RTC)
• Test the data ingestion into RTC using Java application developed by other developers.
• Troubleshoot and issues and discuss with the team to address data issues.

Test data generation for Ovation application project:

• Understand the requirements for test data by testing teams. For example, integration testing team, Risk development testing team.
• Set up environment and install applications (with the help of DevOps team)
• Leverage Extract and transform modules developed in Python to generate the required dataset.
• Provide the dataset to the testing team
• Address any issues in the dataset by updating the extract/transforms (in Python code).

Candidate Qualifications:

• Data Analysis
• SQL
• Python, Tableau

What knowledge and skills will the intern gain from this internship?

• Development of data extraction, transformation and Loading into Cloud based system
• Exposure to derivatives business and related Clearing and Risk applications dataset
• Reporting with Tableau or similar tools
