The Diagnostic Program Management Office is responsible for guiding new product development and on-market support projects/programs from inception to completion. The department plays a pivotal role in facilitating cross-functional support to deliver the project objectives while adhering to the schedule, budget, and scope targets. The team's leadership, in alignment with the product development process and design control requirements, ensures that the project teams deliver high-quality results.
Throughout the 10-12 weeks you'll have the opportunity to participate in the following:
- Process and maintain design control documentation and Design History Files (DHF), per procedures
- Generate Trace Matrix documentation with team input
- Support design reviews by tracking deliverables and review information
- Ensure action items are resolved and documented
- Interact with team members, including senior-level staff, in driving the completion of deliverables
- Communicate deliverable status to core team leaders and team members
- Support program managers in project-related duties
We're looking for bright, inquisitive problem solvers who strive to make a difference. Key qualifications include the following:
- Able to work full-time over the summer months (May-August)
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the internship
- Rising Junior, Rising Senior or Graduate/MBA student
- Majoring in Business or STEM degree preferred
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2/4.0
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including public speaking skills
- Experience or exposure to working with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to interact with personnel with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, and from all levels of the organization
- Problem-solving ability
- Ability to work onsite at our San Diego, CA campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided
The hourly pay range for this role is $19 - $28 per hour. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
