Summer Intern - Strategic Sourcing (Omaha, NE)

Program Overview:

Our Summer Intern program offers hardworking college students an opportunity to go beyond the classroom to develop leadership skills and gain relevant hands-on experience working as part of a global support team with professionals across the enterprise. Additionally, interns will participate in scheduled activities throughout the summer, including sessions with Senior Leaders, site tours, volunteer opportunities, and other social events. Fiserv summer interns are in session from June 5, 2023 - August 11, 2023 and work approximately 40 hours per week. You must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

What you will do:

Fiserv is currently looking for innovative and motivated Business Interns to participate in the 10-week 2022 Summer Internship Program. Business areas such as Audit, Brand Management, Facilities Management, Implementations, Product, Project Management, Risk, Sales, Strategic Sourcing and Human Resourcesare offering internships; each will provide training curriculum, mentoring, and on the job experiential learning.

Interns will work with business professionals learning much needed skills such as working with senior business leaders and experienced teammates; offer innovative suggestions; support in ongoing documentation of existing processes, with mentorship, and other complicated projects. Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the organization. Specific activities vary by assignment.

This position will own and manage the process of negotiating and procuring goods and services from Fiserv vendors on behalf of internal business partners. The position will engage with vendors to gather competitive bids, pursue market analysis for price comparisons, act as liaison between our internal customers and vendors, assist with the service and product resolutions, negotiate contracts and prices to acquire products and services in a timely manner and drive cost efficiencies. Essential skills for this role are: Interactive communication, self-motivation, time management, customer service, analytical thinking, attention to detail, project management and multitasking of multiple deals.

What you need to have:

• Progress towards completion of bachelor's degree by December 2023 / May 2025 with demonstrated academic achievement
• 3.0 + GPA

• Sophisticated Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities
