Summer 2023 Internship - Allocation Analyst

The Designer Brands 2023 Summer Internship Program is an elite group of university students who will be part of a robust, 10-week program with the opportunity to work, learn and immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations of their function. The program will consist of hands-on experience, skill-building, cross-functional collaboration, and networking to support professional development.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work 40 hours/week for the duration of the program (June-August)
• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate (rising Juniors and Seniors) or graduate program
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with peers, and cross-functional partners
• Strong organization skills, be self-motivated, and have effective time management skills
• Excel knowledge (or other spreadsheet applications) and the ability to analyze data are required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Must possess the ability to:

• Allocate a specific product category and maintain alignment to the assortment plan and store capacity.

• Analyze business performance at store/item level to determine allocation to stores.
• Manage reporting to support the allocation strategy.
• Participate in weekly Allocation team and Cross-functional meetings.
• Visit a store to learn about store operations and product merchandising.
