Summer 2023 Internship - Supply Chain Operations Intern

The Designer Brands 2023 Summer Internship Program is an elite group of university students who will be part of a robust, 10-week program with the opportunity to work, learn and immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations of their function. The program will consist of hands-on experience, skill-building, cross-functional collaboration, and networking to support professional development.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze receiving timelines and provide recommendations on purchase order ship windows.
• Assist in running and developing reporting to show inventory movement across network.
• Review load origin and destination details to identify efficiencies possible through a change in buying behaviors.
• Completing Project work: TMS/Control Tower Cleanup and Documentation:
  • Create a cheat sheet with TMSID locations that matches with control tower
  • Create SOP's for future location creation
• PCSTrac cleanup/data cleansing and SOP's
• OHPT District evaluation and proper frequency alignment
• EC DA constraints and network evaluation
• Outbound Shipping District evaluation and proper store delivery frequency alignment
• East Coast Delivery Agent constraints and network evaluation

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Operations preferred
• Must have the ability to interact with Transportation, Sourcing, and Logistics
• Must be proactive, organized, and efficient
• Professionalism and attention to detail required

• Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required

• Must be able to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the program (June-August)
• Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate (rising Juniors and Seniors) or graduate program
