Summer Reporting Intern

The Houston Chronicle is looking for motivated student journalists who plan to pursue a career in journalism for its summer 2023 internship program. Based in Texas, the Houston Chronicle is a Hearst newspaper in the nation's fourth largest city. Houston is also one of the country's most diverse cities.

Interns may be assigned to one of the following newsroom departments: Metro, Business, Photo, Digital or Features.

The 10-week internship pays $600 per week.

This internship will be completed in person.

Applicants should be juniors, seniors or recent graduates, with experience at a college or other newspaper, magazine or website.

Requirements: Valid driver's license, upper-level journalism courses, background check, clips (3 stories or 7 photos), resume (2 pages max) and cover letter (address to recruiting committee; no more than 500 words.)
