Summer Talent Acquisition/Business Development/Marketing Intern, #510

Interns will be asked to complete a background investigation prior to their start date.

Dev Technology Group is seeking talented rising Juniors and Seniors for our Summer 2023 Internship Program. Interns will be based out of our headquarters in Reston, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking professional experience and exposure to corporate environments such as Talent Acquisition, Business Development, and Marketing. 

Dev interns will gain first-hand experience and knowledge supporting a leading Information Technology provider supporting the Federal Government. The intern will support a project or corporate team applying technical thinking and problem solving to address current initiatives. As a part of the broader Summer Intern program, the Intern will gain experience and knowledge in three key areas: technology trends, professional work environments, and Government contracting. Here are some of the activities:

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Create social media posts and campaigns for team to share on LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Create eye catching job ads and integrated audio and visual components.
  • Create targeted campaigns to partner and college universities for 2023 Fall intern recruiting events
  • Learn how to build a talent pipeline for difficult to fill positions and frequently needed roles and send talent network drip campaign emails
  • Work with fellow Summer Interns on a technically focused project and present the groups' results to the executive team at the end of the program. Past projects have included creating a mentorship web application and planning a hack-a-thon.
  • Attend corporate level meetings to learn about a broad spectrum of areas of the business, such as business development, finance, and project management 
  • Provide research and analysis on recruiting trends, new technology/tools, best practices, technical markets, and diversity initiatives
  • Assist with contingent recruiting for proposals, format resumes as necessary
  • Assist with developing recruiting strategies to source specific technical resources in the federal contracting space
    • Conduct research, analyze data and make recommendations
  • Post accurate and compliant descriptions, schedule timely interviews, and provide status updates throughout the process
  • Support data clean-up and migration within our MS SharePoint environment as well as new environments such as MS Dynamics
  • Use tools (such as GovWin, BetaSAM, FPDS, GovSpend, Government Sites) to research new markets for growth
    • Assist with gathering data for proposals, reviews, and other support tasks: Assist with running reports, analyzing data, and conducting surveys

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Rising Juniors and Seniors working toward a bachelor’s degree in human resources, marketing, business operations, or a related field
  • A desire to learn new skills; Rising Senior strongly preferred
  • The ability to follow through on tasks to completion
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to be proactive
  • Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team
  • Must be able to commute to the Reston, Virginia office
