This position is responsible for managing the administration and coordination of the organization's local fleet of motor vehicles. Ensures compliance with government and company rules and regulations.

- Manage dispatching, routing and tracking of both drivers and fleet of vehicles.
- Maintain team member and customer safety as a primary focus.
- Manage vehicle licensing and registration of vehicles, including document maintenance.
- Collaborate with Operations to determine and implement the fleet profile, positioning and allocation strategy.
- Collaborate and schedule Inspections for Fleet and traditional Transportation Providers.
- Assist with developing fleet management parameters that best support the business.
- Facilitate the utilization of the fleet management program.
- Ensure strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
- Develop and implement a fleet maintenance and retirement policy to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper driving practices.
- Ensure records are maintained of vehicle servicing and inspection.
- Recommend and collaborate with leadership and/or manage tools to monitor driver behavior and transportation incidents.
- Evaluate new technologies that increase fleet safety and operational effectiveness.
- Monitors and assures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations that affect fleet and transportation operations.
- Analyze data and makes recommendations to increase business operational efficiency.
- May lead projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Up to 50% travel required.
- Determine appropriate resourcing of staff in order to achieve goals and objectives.
- Coach employees on performance gaps, career development opportunities, and strategies.
- Mentor and coach employees on all human resource related processes including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation and rewards.
- Recognize others' contributions and share credit for success.
- Own attainment of high employee satisfaction and retention; lead development of program and initiatives within group to attain high employee satisfaction.
- Prepare and manage budget as assigned; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions to maximize operational performance.
We are excited to speak to someone with the following...
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Five plus years' experience with a corporate fleet program.
- Up to one year leadership responsibility.
- Experience working with vehicle maintenance providers.
- Education National Association of Fleet Administrators or Automotive Fleet Manager certification desired.
- Familiarity with U.S. Department of Transportation compliance, laws and regulations.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-governing and able to act with limited guidance.
- Able to handle pressure, multiple priorities and deadlines, and provide immediate responsiveness to end-users while exercising excellent customer service skills.
- Thinks unconventionally but delivers practical results that support the business culture.
- Ability to develop viable options for users while oriented towards bottom line.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use software(s) required for fleet management recordkeeping.
- Ability to handle vehicle preventive maintenance and warranty issues.
- Strong ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve issues and find solutions for or to deal proactively with work-related issues.
- Excellent ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.
- Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
- Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint .
