Supervisor - Health & Welfare Claims

What you'll be doing...
The supervisor assists in the day-to-day operations of the Health and Welfare Claims Department, which includes associate oversight and working on special projects. The department is responsible for auditing claims for quality control, serving as the liaison for preferred networks, reviewing third party liability/subrogation, and partnering with case managers/stop loss vendors.
- Supervise a team of 10-15 associates in Health & Welfare claims
- Provide direction and coaching to ensure work is completed accurately and timely
- Set goals and provide guidance towards achieving the goals
- Monitor production standards, manage work schedules and assign work to staff
- Responsible for workflow management by monitoring claim volume and lags
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for growth opportunities
- Facilitate ongoing and/or cross training to meet department needs and goals
- Foster positive professional working relationships with team, peers, vendors and management
Depending on the location of the successful candidate, this position can be based in our Seattle, Federal Way or Mountlake Terrace office.
Who you are...
- Educated. BA degree (preferred) or combination of relevant education and experience
- Experienced. Experience in medical/dental claims or benefit administration preferred
- Leadership. Prior supervisory experience leading, developing, and motivating teams
- Communication. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

- Salary range of $5,460 - $7,388 per month (dependent upon experience & qualifications)
