Location: Austin, TX 

Reports To: Director, Property Claims

Work Environment: Hybrid (2-3 Days/week in the office)

About This Role: 

We are seeking an experienced Property Claims Supervisor to join our team. You will be responsible for leading a team of claims adjusters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional customer service and timely resolution of claims.

What You'll Do: 

  • Supervise Claims Team: Lead and manage a team of property claims adjusters, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. 
  • Claims Processing: Oversee the processing of property claims from initiation to closure, ensuring accuracy, adherence to company policies, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by resolving escalated customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally. 
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to review and audit claims for accuracy and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Reporting and Analytics: Prepare and analyze claims data and performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for efficiency gains. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as underwriting, legal, and finance to resolve complex claims and improve overall claims handling processes. 
  • Training and Development: Develop and conduct training programs for claims staff to enhance their skills and knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and company procedures. 

Must Haves: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property claims management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Possess relevant insurance certifications/licenses (e.g., CPCU, AIC, ARM) or willingness to obtain them.
  • Excellent leadership, team management and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of insurance policies and claims processes
  • analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends
  • Proficiency in claims automation and experience implementing new technologies
  • Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with change management and process improvement
  • Snapsheet expertise 
  • Proven ability to analyze complex issues, make decisions, and implement solutions effectively
  • Thorough understanding of insurance regulations and compliance requirements
