Supervisor, Sales Operations (Finance Team)

The Role
The Supervisor, Sales Operations will lead the team of sales coordinators to efficiently process and deliver wholesale orders while helping to ensure that customers pay within terms. This position reports into our Accounting & Finance department. You work to support the sales teams' ordering process and serve as the point person for other parts of the business. You also help drive the development of the wholesale operation's sales transaction processes and create scalable solutions that can cross all markets.
This is a hybrid position and requires onsite work at our Chicago HQ office 1-2 days per week.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of sales operations coordinators across multiple markets to ensure the highest level of efficiency and customer service for our wholesale business
- Manage wholesale order processing and invoicing process, identifying and implementing improvements to scale as needed
- Establish and implement payment terms in each state that fit the needs of customers while ensuring GTI’s financial terms are met on-time
- Set efficient order fulfillment and delivery terms while managing expectations with customers, communicating issues to customers and sales directors appropriately
- Act as point person to funnel and communicate needs of sales team to other parts of business
- Strategize, set, and exceed goals that optimize the entire wholesale business and support all needs of the sales teams
- Support the sales team in ad-hoc data requests, projects, and initiatives
- Support the sales team by creating the weekly menu of products available for sale in their region
- Manage wholesale data and reporting to sales teams, as well as support reporting needs across rest of business, including marketing, production, supply chain, executive teams. At times this may require reconciling discrepancies.
- Continuously improve the skills, knowledge, and morale of employees
- Understand the customer buying process and how it relates to the sales process
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel, and ability to demonstrate understanding of CRM and accounting tools used by sales coordinators
- Experience conducting sales analysis and interpreting data to make actionable recommendations
- Strong leader capable of mentoring and developing staff
- Highly motivated, extremely positive attitude, self-starter with a solid work ethic, very organized and an effective communicator
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to think and act fast while delivering a high level of customer service
- A team player and ability to work effectively with customers, wholesale customers, and other members of the team
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
