Supervisor, Treasury Operations

Job Summary

The Supervisor, Treasury Operations has staff oversight responsibility for managing the daily operational component of the Treasury department. The Operational unit is responsible for supporting the day-to-day cash positioning of the company, including the timely and accurate accounting, managing and reporting of cash balances and movements in our various accounts and manages our daily cash position. The supervisor oversees and is able to perform all of the job duties within the unit.

The Supervisor, Treasury Operations reports directly to the Director, Treasury.  This position provides supervision, training, work direction and evaluation of staff in this work area. Has contact with various internal departments and external relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversight of the preparation of value-added analysis to support Treasury & Finance decision making in support of liquidity, debt, capital and bank & broker dealer relationships as well as reporting results and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead staff in the daily operations of the department, ensuring smooth settlement of trades and wires and oversight of the daily cash position; provide guidance for disbursement-related matters, ensure strict legal-entity boundaries are maintained.
• Ensure staff compliance with respect to all human resource-related requirements including: establishment of performance expectations, completion of performance reviews, training, development, and hiring and salary administration of supervised staff.
• Ensures employees within department have proper access by completing security tickets.
• Oversees the daily reconciliation work for department and work closely with Treasury Administration team on reconciling items.
• Oversees the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures and Internal Control narratives related to the Treasury daily operation’s functions with accuracy and completeness.
• Acts as back up to other supervisors and leads within Treasury.
• Support forecast efforts interacting with many different levels of management.
• Maintain intensive and detailed Excel spreadsheets in support of Treasury Operations.
• Assist in the design and change or the utilization of systems within Treasury. (FIS Integrity, Oracle and bank portals). Provide cash flow projections, financial modeling, financial analysis and other ad-hoc financial projects.

Experience and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years related professional experience in finance/treasury required
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Significant experience with automated Treasury Workstations, FIS Integrity (in particular) is highly desired.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
