Supervisor, Vehicle Assembly

Your Role:

As the Supervisor, Vehicle Assembly, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to:

• Work within the Plant providing leadership to manufacture a world class product while achieving KPI targets for the Vehicle Assembly shop in quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness and safety.
• Safety first. Evaluate and monitor processes and people to ensure a safe working environment. Apply problem solving tools to eliminate actual and potential hazards.
• Support model mfg plan development and execution, including trials and launch of new equipment and tooling.
• Create and ensure standardized work is followed.
• Lead with a continuous improvement mentality.
• Create a safe, respectful, fair and professional work environment.
• Reinforce company policies and procedures.
• Learn and understand escalation process.
• Implement FF Production System in the Vehicle Assembly department.
• Maintain close communications with team leaders and managers for effective and efficient problem solving.
• Understand or implement Uptime equipment strategies to assure operational excellence.
• Understanding of Preventative Maintenance strategies, activities, and monitoring metrics to manage current state as well as improve future state.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance as required to meet aforementioned goals with continuous process improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement activities in manufacturing regarding: safety, manpower utilization and efficiency, ergonomics.
• Coach Team Leaders and Team Members so they can grow and reach their maximum potential.

Basic Qualifications:

• Three or more years of related professional experience in an automotive plant shop floor environment or equivalent
• Leadership Experience: Two or more years in an supervisory role exhibiting leadership and providing direction to others.
• A bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes and equipment.
• Ability to provide direction to team members in high pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on team building and development.
• Computer Skills: Computer literate with strong command of MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Business or manufacturing related discipline.
• Experience with MES systems.
• Lean Manufacturing shop floor implementation experience.

Annual Salary Range:

($100K - $115K DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
