Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain DoD Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position with the United States Army Reserve Command, Mission Support, G-8, Pay Management Division, Pay Division located at Indianapolis, Indiana.

- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position requires DoD Financial Management Certification Program Level 2.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying public laws, statutes, and regulatory programs concerning financial systems analysis; developing policy and procedures concerning military pay; analyzing financial management data and financial management systems; writing instructions and procedures on regulatory policies; providing oral presentations on policies, new programs and procedures.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- As a supervisor, you must comply with the Army Civilian Education System (CES) course and timeline requirements. The Supervisory Development Course (SDC) must be completed within one year of placement into a supervisory position. - Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 5 years, if the candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Term appointment has the potential to be extended beyond six years up to eight years.
- Army employees who accept a time-limited appointments (to include employees with personal competitive status) will be separated at the end of the time-limited appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended.
