Summary
The Indian Health Service (IHS) provides leadership and direction to programs and activities designed to improve health services for the American Indian/Alaska Native (Al/AN) people through a system of IHS, Tribal, and Urban (I/T/U) operated facilities and programs. This position serves as the Supervisory IT Specialist managing Commercial EHR applications and manages a staff of IT Specialist Electronic Health Record (EHR) Product specialists.

Qualifications
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
The Hiring Manager/Selecting Official may elect to utilize an available flexibility wherein applicants who are currently enrolled and expected to complete the required education and obtain the required licensure/certification/registration with month(s) of applying, may be deemed tentatively qualified.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
GS-2210: Information Technology Management Series (opm.gov)
In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below-
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
1. Experience leading or serving on a team responsible for the planning and coordinating in the installation, configuration, sustainment, and upgrade of commercial enterprise-wide Electronic Health Record applications and systems.
Selective Placement Factor: Have a Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Management (FAC P/PM) level II or must be willing to earn certification within 24 months.
You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

This position is eligible for remote work.
Additional selection(s) of candidates may be possible within 240 days from the date the certificate of eligibles was issued for this announcement.
Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. IHS may offer newly-appointed Federal employees credit for their directly related previous non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave.
