Summary
NASA is seeking Communication Directors at various locations. The scope of the agency's communications entails a broad, diverse, and integrated set of efforts including news and media engagement, digital communications and products (including web, television, video, photography, and social media), non-technical publications, exhibits, as well as speaking and public engagement activities and events.

- A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.

Qualifications
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
- Planning and managing a major outreach program, with expertise in strategic messaging, client management, internal communications, community relations and public engagement;
- Developing detailed plans, tasks, milestone dates, and schedules to ensure proper sequencing of events and tracking of processes and costs throughout the life cycle of a program/project;
- Planning a diversified program of public information, using the mass media as well as other facets of communications such as public speaking and personal contacts;
- Managing and directing subordinate employees in the implementation of a media relations program at a highly professional level.
