Supplier Analyst

The Supplier Analyst is responsible for analyzing inventory levels and the inventory replenishment process. This person will review and analyze statistical data supporting re-order points, re-order levels, re-order time fences and target stock levels. The Analyst will analyze inventory turns and determine need for slow moving classifications within the overall inventory. The successful candidate will exercise judgment and use strong analytical skills to problem solve issues on behalf of the team.

• Develop and execute procurement strategies focused on both short and long-term cost reductions while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
•  Leverage data and systems to provide applicable analysis to plan for and ensure optimum inventory levels.
• Analyze data supporting inventory replenishment decisions to determine more efficient replenishment rules.
• Work with accounting and procurement to determine outcomes from replenishment decisions.
• Provide support to procurement on optimal inventory levels by SKU using input from operations and sales.
• Improve productivity based on internal processes.
• Monitor the quality, delivery and level of customer service of each supplier. Resolve issues as they arise.
• Improve the performance and efficiency of supplier management, supplier qualification, and supplier ordering process.
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• BS degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent degree or experience is required.
• Three (3) plus years purchasing experience with extensive inventory analysis required.
• High proficiency in MS Office suite, Excel/Access/SQL is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment is preferred.
• Excellent problem solving, detail oriented, training/material retention, interpersonal and conflict management skills is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required
