Supplier Quality Engineer- Asia Region

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer who is familiar with the intricacies of the Asia supply chain landscape to play a lead role in ensuring Lunar Energy products meet our Quality standards. If you are driven by both problem solving challenges and the broader vision of optimizing processes for high-volume production we would like to meet you. Your responsibility will encompass establishing our APAC Supplier Quality Management  process, which includes Assessing Supplier performance, generating relevant metrics, and monitoring quality data. You will spearhead Root Cause analyses with Suppliers and implement necessary Corrective Actions to boost efficiency and drive cost reductions across our supply chain. • Act as the primary point of contact for APAC based Supplier Quality issues
• On-site support for to drive Supplier root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Facilitate consistent communication with Program Management about product risk
• Identify potential challenges with Suppliers during new product development and the product life cycle
• Review and approve (Production Part Approval Process) PPAP submissions
• Work with Engineering to designate critical dimensions and other requirements vital to Lunar Energy's success
• Serve as the intermediary between the engineering team and suppliers, offering feedback on DFM to guarantee the manufacturability of our product design
• Collaborate with CM’s and Engineering to devise incoming inspection guidelines for critical dimensions and sampling strategies for inspection

• Expertise in Geometric Design and Tolerancing (GD&T) and datum structures
• Solid grasp of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
• Proficiency in the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Hands-on experience in Metrology, Inspection Methods, and Equipment
• Comprehensive understanding of diverse manufacturing processes
• Strong experience in areas like plastic injection molding and metal fabrication is desired
• Stellar communication, both written and verbal, complemented by excellent interpersonal skills

• Travel up to 40-50% supporting key Suppliers and parts critical to Lunar’s success
• Fluency in Mandarin and understanding of business and regulations in the Asia region
• Familarity working in India is a strong plus
• Bachelor's Degree (4 years) in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 Years of Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering supporting manufacturing within the Asia region.
• Recognized certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer, Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, Green Belt, or equivalent.
• Strong problem solving ability in structured problem-solving techniques, including Ishikawa, 5-Why, or 8D methodology.
• Ability to communicate to Executive team regarding key Quality activities

Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The salary range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $130k -147k $ USD.
