Supplier Quality Surveillance Coordinator
Job Description
Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
We are looking for a Supplier Quality Surveillance Coordinator to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and services supplied by external vendors and suppliers meet all project specifications, codes, standards, and all federal, state, and local requirements. This role is critical to the success of our business, and the candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and have experience in supplier quality or similar quality fields.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate supplier assessments, audits, and surveillance to ensure compliance with company requirements and standards
- Provide oversight of supplier quality plans and procedures to support on-time deliveries of products that meet or exceed expectations
- Identify and report quality issues and non-conformities and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and provide regular reports to management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, and operations teams, to ensure effective communication and coordination of supplier quality activities
- Work with suppliers to improve their quality systems and processes
- Manage supplier documentation and records, ensuring compliance with company requirements
- Ensure that all supplier-related activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable regulations and standards
- Travel to supplier sites to assist with assessments and audits as required
- Develop technical and innovative solutions to solve complex industry problems
- Prepare and maintain quality management documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in supplier quality or a related field in the energy industry, preferably in LNG, natural gas processing, or power generation
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and international quality standards
- Experience with audits, inspections, and vendor evaluations
- Excellent communication, computing, technical, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to supplier sites, both domestic and international
- Ability to perform multiple tasks, work within project deadlines and adjust as priorities change
- Possess the ability to mentor others through technical training and guidance
- Have the ability to read and interpret engineer drawings to include P&IDs, Civil/Structural plans and details, Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Piping Isometrics, etc.
- Broad knowledge and understating of all industry codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills
- Have advanced computer experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, PowerPoint, and Excel Work products
- Ability to obtain a TWIC Card
