WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Lead strategy development and implementation for indirect categories across our US locations. Ensure alignment with Enterprise Indirect Sourcing Team's and functional business unit's objectives.
  • Support cost management initiatives focused on reducing total cost of ownership.
  • Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure a resilient supply chain and high supplier performance resolving issues and monitoring performance. Build partnerships with internal partners to ensure that all requirements are being met.
  • Lead negotiation of supply and service agreements that are in line with nVent business strategies.
  • Identify and develop specific supply chain improvement opportunitiesto achieve competitive advantage and to improve responsiveness to customer demand.
  • Perform detailed supply market analysis related to categories, industries, and suppliers.
  • Reinforce the company's continuous improvement culture that promotes communication, shared learning, intelligent risk-taking, creative problem solving, and accountability.
  • Run all aspects of sourcing and supply management processes for assigned categories.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related degree required.
  • 3+ experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project management skills to develop plans with action steps and timetables, meet deadlines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellence in contract negotiation and management including drafting, redlining, and ensuring adherence to contract service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining effective work relationships at all levels both internally and externally (customers, suppliers, etc.).
  • Strong organizational leadership and influence skills.
  • 10% - 30% domestic travel.
