Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support Franklin Electric's global supply chain strategy using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict and enhance the supply chain process.
Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather and analyze data for financial analyses for management decision making.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain databases, spreadsheets and graphs for management and others as required.
- Compile information, create, maintain, and distribute statistical and business reports to management and supervisors as required.
- Documenting and analyzing the required information and data.
- Understanding business process management and business requirements of the customers and translating them to specific software requirements.
- Analyze Contribution Margin data and trends for cost improvements and buy decisions as required.
- Evaluating the information gathered through workshops and surveys, business process description and task analysis.
- Acting as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; familiar with logistics and production planning concepts (e.g. just-in-time, material requirement planning).
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.
- Effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Maintain confidentiality and use discretion with business information.
- Read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Utilize common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature
- Plan the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
- Frequently make decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.
- Complete some moderately repetitive tasks.
- Use noncomplex machines and equipment (adding machines, calculators, copy/fax machines, etc.).
Software and Computer Skills
- Advanced: Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI
- Intermediate: JDE Edwards and Database knowledge is a plus, Word Processing/Typing
- Basic: Alphanumeric Data Entry, Contact Management
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business management, mathematics/statistics or supply chain management (required).
- Three to five years of relevant experience in business administration, financial analysis, or related field (preferred).

- Continually required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Regularly required to sit or stand and to walk.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
