The Supply Chain Analyst II will provide analytical and operational support to the materials management team to achieve inventory and supply chain goals and objectives, while supporting inventory optimization initiatives, and managing supply execution as required to meet business objectives.

The person will also be responsible for some day-to-day activities (following up on deliveries and shortages etc.) and issue purchase orders, confirm deliveries, and expedite deliveries as required.

Success in the role will ensure the achievement of strategic supply chain objectives as measured through finished goods and RAW material inventory performance, proactive identification of issues, and enablement of business growth.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Role will develop and maintain dashboards/KPI's, in addition to conducting ad-hoc advanced analytics and reporting utilizing Excel and PowerBI, to monitor inventory health and provide actionable information to team, while working to ensure mitigation strategies are raised and actioned for any needs.
  • Responsible for collaborating with production planning to build out and determine material needs, monitor usage and yield, implement production build changes, and ID and mitigate constraints.
  • Maintain SAP master data for manufactured and purchased materials including Purchase Info Records, Item Master, Unit of Measure.
  • Establishes an ongoing process to maintain, monitor, and improve data integrity.
  • Lead for daily cross functional team stand-up meetings - represent material management needs, convey relevant information to broader team, and take lead to ensure timely resolution actions assigned.
  • Support the development and management of material resource plan (MRP) and strategies building off the finished goods forecast and growth outlook, supplier/material attributes, and business strategies.
  • Assist in the advancement of a best-in-class material resource planning systems, processes, and tools for complex multi facility manufacturing and distribution (e.g. MRP implementation in SAP)
  • Proactively identify, recommend, and lead actions for improvement while aligning with long term strategies, defining business benefit, cost and ROI with cross functional stakeholders.
  • Provide general purchasing/buying support as needed - issue purchase orders, confirm deliveries, and expedite deliveries as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS. Degree; MBA a plus
  • 3+ years' work experience in purchasing, materials management and/or supply chain management, preferably within medical device field
  • SAP experience; experience with SAP MRP system and processes
  • Strong problem solving and analytics skills; Experience with LEAN, six sigma, kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Project management leadership and stakeholder influencing capability; Very strong communication skills to influence external and internal stakeholders in an effort gain alignment and mitigate program risks/challenges.
  • Results driven, understands complex business processes and systems relations/dependencies.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and tasks and demonstrated flexibility in a changing business environment.
  • Models a positive, can-do attitude and is cooperative both within their function and company-wide
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to travel as needed.
