Supply Chain Analyst Intern
Job Description
Job Summary:
APTIM is looking for a motivated and engaged Supply Chain Analyst Intern interested in gaining experience in subcontracting and procurement in a Government contracting environment to review, negotiate, and administer business aspects, terms, conditions and risk mitigation of client contracts and subcontracts for business line/unit, branch office, and/or program office. The Supply Chain Analyst Intern will assist our Global Supply Chain team in Securing Subcontract Agreements, Change Orders and similar procurement documents within the confines of Federal Acquisition Regulations and internal company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review government and commercial RFPs, teaming agreements, contracts, change orders and other legally binding documents and coordinate review of these documents with Legal and Risk Management as necessary.
- Obtain Certificates of Insurance and Bonds, as required.
- Coordinate with technical staff regarding subcontract administration, risk avoidance, change order management, and cost and pricing.
- Provide support as requested in areas of contract close-out, indirect rate adjustments, federal government audits, proposal preparation, etc.
- Perform bid evaluations and issue purchase orders for materials and services.
- Ensure all purchase orders are complete and reference all necessary conditions and deliverables, including signatures, marking, packaging, payment, documentation and shipment details.
- Perform Certified Payroll and Wage Determination reviews in accordance with Department of Labor and FAR requirements.
- Identify problems and discrepancies that may occur and assists in implementing corrective action.
- Ensure work is being coordinated between other departments, offices, fabrication and construction to meet project requirements.
- Maintain and promote a focus on the company's end product, whether procurement, engineering, fabrication or construction related.
- Assume responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity and budget control of assigned work.
- Ability to track, report and oversee small business goal requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Basic to working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and related agency supplements, as well as fundamental commercial contracting principles
- Attending an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business Operations, or a related field
- Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA with at least 60 hours of coursework completed
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have experience with MS Office software, including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
- Able to work effectively and professionally in a both a team and autonomously.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management, project management, and follow-through.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills.
