Supply Chain Associate

As our Supply Chain Associate, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of procurement and supply chain processes throughout all of our business systems. Your goal is to serve as the critical link between different teams and systems within Blank Street to improve the product launch process and manage the product lifecycle by coordinating with internal and external supply chain partners. This will include managing vendor relations, maintaining data integrity within our systems, and improving accountability for all partners.
This role will align to our finance team.
What you'll own- Supplier and Distribution Support
- Establish excellent working relationships with distributors and suppliers to provide continuous support for these relationships
- Help to identify new suppliers who are able to meet current and/or future needs for the brands
- Handle new contract processes which include but are not limited to: specification sheets, COIs, and supply agreements for all approved suppliers
- Conduct pricing audits against distributors’ invoices for all contracted goods. Report findings with the goal of reporting variances and collecting credits
- Analyze opportunities for improvement in efficiency within the supply base that will result in obtaining and delivering fresh ingredients at the best cost to stores
- Provide forecasting and inventory management for key items, including proprietary branded products to ensure no gaps in supply
- Product Launch Management
- Lead supply chain management lifecycle for all promotions, product launches, and supply changes
- Oversee creation, implementation and ongoing maintenance of new items and recipes in ERP, POS, and delivery systems in support of new item launch process
- Create and maintain seasonal order guides
- Supply Chain Operations
- Build reporting to track vendor KPIs, monitor store level operational procedure compliance, and better manage inventory and COGS
- Support operations teams by managing quality control issues and providing resolutions
- Ad hoc analysis as needed
- BS/BA (preferably in applicable field of study, but not required)
- 1-2 years experience in supply chain (inventory management, transportation, etc.) preferably within the food industry
- Analytically advanced with problem-solving skills and demonstrated experience turning insights into action
- Working knowledge of ERP / inventory systems (we use MarketMan, a restaurant industry inventory tool and Square as our POS)
- Execution-oriented, while maintaining corporate frugality
- Highly organized and able to provide structure to ambiguous situations
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with others, and a proven ability to navigate a fast paced, growing organization with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
